Residents of a community in Lagos have been thrown into mourning following the death of a baby who, alongside others was a victim of building collapse
A baby has been confirmed dead and many still trapped as one storey building collapsed at Meiran area of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, LCDA of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
PM News gathered that the one storey building collapsed on Saturday during the heavy downpour in the area, leaving many people who stayed at home as a result of the restriction due the council election in the state, trapped.
A baby, who was earlier rescued alive has been confirmed dead as rescue and emergency agencies are working frantically to rescue people still trapped in the debris.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, and others are on ground to rescue trapped people.
A huge crowd has gathered around the area, while the site of the collapse has been condoned off.
