President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the senate informing it of his decision to proceed on a 10-day vacation.
In the letter read by Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday, the president said his vacation would begin on January 23 and end on February 6.
He said that while he is away, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo would perform the functions of his office.
In February 2016, Buhari took his first vacation since assuming office as president.
Osinbajo was the acting president at the time of his absence.
