End time- Chinese engineer marries robot he built after failing to find a wife

A Chinese engineer who could not find a girlfriend married a robot recently.

While we have heard about people desperately going out on dates to find a partner, marrying a robot is new of its kind.

Last year, we had reported that a Russian man married a pizza after he realised that his true love was it.

Now, here is another man who married a machine after he tired of not being able to find the right one.

Zheng Jiajia who is an artificial intelligence expert designs and creates robots in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

Zheng created the “female” robot and married it, reported Qianjiang Evening News reported. Yingying the wife can say simple words and also identifies characters and images.

Zheng was tired of constant pressure from his family to get married, so he made and robot and named it Yingying.

And he in fact dated Yingying for two months and married her in a private ceremony attended by friends and family.

He wore a black suit to the wedding and cover the robot’s head with a red scarf as per local Chinese tradition.

While the wedding has not been officially registered, the ceremony was done like any other marriages.

While this has been a unique incident, Chinese has the worst gender gaps in the world. Russian man marries a pizza after realizing it was his better half!

There are 113.5 men for every 100 women in the country.

Their one-child policy that controls the number of children born in a family is also heavily criticised. China has many restaurants which are run by robots but machines do not comply perfectly to human needs.

Zheng who was an employee at Huawei quit the smartphone company to build his own artificial intelligence startup.

However, many took to social media to criticise his idea while other said that it could be a mere publicity stunt for his startup.
