74 year old, Enoch Adeboye, this morning, Saturday, January 7, announced his retirement as the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Pastor Joseph Obayemi has been named as his successor.
Adeboye, was appointed general overseer of the church in 1991, taking over from Papa Akindayomi, who had died the previous year.
Until his appointment, Obayemi was the Pastor in charge of Region 2.
He is also the National Chairman of the newly formed Redeemer’s Men Fellowship (RMF).
Obayemi was promoted to Assistant General Overseer of the church in August 2016.
